This Blue Heron marches to it's own drummer. It seems every time I see this one it is always configured unlike any of the others. Here it is in a strange sitting position.

Merlin Falcon above a local pond today. There are several of these guys hanging around lately, which probably explains the recent shortage of shorebirds beachcombing the river and lake flats.

This animal rescue facility had an open house so we dropped by. A non profit organization and they do good work. I'll donate a few prints for their next auction.
