One was hovering around the right perch and I was hopening he would occupy it, but nothing.

Then along comes this intruder, a cormorant. He wouldn't leave. I tried to make some noises.... “psssst....pssssst.....” but he felt like the absolute protagonist.
I cracked up laughing and went home, apparently it was not the right day.

Spoonbill in breeding plumage. These birds have really started to become re-established in the UK after a re-introduction 25 years ago.

Bohemian Waxwing. The last 2 Winters have proved to be very good for these birds in the UK, after several years of very few sightings. Poor Berry crops in Scandanavia have forced them our way I believe.
