Normally they fly away at even a hint of sighting you but this one was happy enough to have me walk under its watchful gaze.

This little Blue Tit made its nest in this little hole in the wall of a Church tower. Need to keep an eye on it and set up an observation post for a day to watch it bring food for ita made and little chicks soon.

Very strong lungs on this Thrusher. I don't know if its a male or female, it was singing so loud i could hear it from 10 minutes walk away and it was changing its chirping tune with many different vocalisations.

Went searching for the return of the Great Lakes Piping Plovers today. There are only 80 mating pair that we know of, so their arrival is a much anticipated event. Didn't spot any today but I did catch this Eastern Meadowlark which is a first for me. I had never seen one before.

Congrats. They are fairly common here in the winter.

This Cardinal passed through the backyard today. I think it may be a Canadian Cardinal. It was very boisterous but I couldn't make out what it was trying to say. I think it was speaking French.
