Birds Show Birds

For some reason, birds rarely appear at our feeders except in the morning/evening twilight times, and when it is rainy and overcast. We had a lot of birds yesterday while it was raining, but as soon as the sun appeared, they vanished. During our FEB/MAR Winter blitz, the birds ignored our feeders completely, and we had some sunny - albeit very cold - days. At the same time, I could stand in our front room and watch the birds flitting all around the feeders two houses down. I haven't figured it out. Here's a few with the OM-D E-M5 +ZD 50-200mm ED. First time I've ever been successful at photographing a Downy Woodpecker.

Well, I have to do something, Bill, since I remain catless and currently have no plans to get another. Thanks for your words :)

The visiting birds are lovely. Lorikeets and Miners out the back, and Magpies, Masked Lapwings and Miners out the front. and somewhere in the middle, the odd Red Wattle Bird.
