One very large Red-Shouldered Hawk. I just happened to have my camera with me because I was trying to photo an Eastern Bluebird, when this beast swooped into a tree below the house, loudly announcing its presence. Little wonder all the songbirds suddenly made themselves scarce.

For the first time ever this morning, I was able to get images of a Kingfisher and a Northern Flicker. However, they were on the other side of a pond, and I could never get closer than about 25 yards. They kept swooping from tree to tree every time I tried to creep along the bank toward them. They were both very skittish.
