There is a pair of Red Shouldered Hawks that haunt the woods around our house. They circle overhead seemingly constantly, and are very vocal. They seem to like the trees within 50-100 feet of our house, and fearlessly swoop into the branches, vocally announcing their presence, even if someone is out in the yard.
I've seen smaller Hawks in the front yard, but not the big ones. The songbirds just seem to ignore the big Hawks. I did see one of them with a squirrel one time. You have bird feeders, don't you? Those hawks know where their dinner is.
wonderful punIs that a specially installed 'nesting bracket'?
