Wimp!
When staying in Bristol, we are usually on Baltic Wharf caravan park (just off the above photo, to the right) and we invariably cross over the river there and walk, breathe, walk, breathe, walk, up and up to Clifton village. After a wonderful latte in our favourite cafe and then my wife has bought a new pair of shoes, we wander over to the bridge and clamber down the steep rugged path the other side, back to our motorhome, where I put my feet up and have a snooze.
Yes, that's the one. Pouring down with rain as I recall, very very muddy. Memorable though.

I could just imagine something a bit too tall going through and driving off with it!
To prove it really happens, a work colleague of mine was delivering a 'cherry-picker' type vehicle and hit a low railway bridge (despite the signs!).

Somewhere between St Germain de Calberte and La Liquiere we came across this bridge. The river was probably a tributary of the Gardon de Saint Germain.
