Agreed John.
It's a fair ride from the nearest main road and was lovely and peaceful when we visited.
We also spotted a cuckoo whilst enjoying the view; I'd only ever heard them before.

That's the I-10 bridge over Lake Pontchartrain taken from shoreline in Slidell (the North side of the lake). Once upon a time there was a very good seafood restaurant where the sand now is.
