Architecture Show: Churches

That's pretty magnificent ... especially with the aloes in the foreground

Thanks Irene! I would say Santo Domingo is the most iconic and beautiful church in the entire state. Like several catholic churches from the Spanish era, inside of the church you can see multiple baroque paintings and lots of ornaments made from gold. Next to the church, in the former "convento", there is a nice museum regarding the Oaxaca state history.

In the foreground, those are agaves, which are similar in looks but not quite the same than aloes. Tequila and Mezcal are made from agaves.

I took the picture back in 2018 when I was exploring around with my first camera. I recently found the file in my archive and decided to work on it. The next time I travel back to Oaxaca, I'll go to Santo Domingo and shoot it again.
