Scenic Show: Clouds

Been stitching old spherical panoramas lately, and found one with clouds.

Six shots, 60° apart, and zenith and nadir, made a 256 megapixel image.

Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II, M.Zuiko 7-14mm ƒ/2.8, at ƒ/5.6, ISO 200. (EXIF data didn't survive stitching, apparently…)

I see clouds everyday that I fly, but here we have something that I don't remember seeing before.

I'm not entirely sure what kind of clouds are these, but there is an obvious cyclonic pattern that is associated with low pressure systems in our planet. Due to the Coriolis force, these systems rotate in an anticlockwise direction in the northern hemisphere and in a clockwise direction in the southern hemisphere.
