In this case, the result really surprised me: When I first framed this shot, there was a serious amount of veiling flare visible, so I thought I'd have to correct for that in post to some extend. To prevent some of the unwanted effects (they can be nice at times, too, but not in this case), I underexposed the shot by two stops - and lo and behold, the effects of the flaring seem to have all but vanished. No special pp necessary (though I did "dehaze" things a little, but only for adding contrast gently).
