Probably, although you've very carefully not photographed the sepals or leaves, which tend to be the distinguishing features, not that I'm really a plant person. There are five or six other violet species to pick from.

Spring Desert Cacti Blooms

Here are some Spring desert cacti blooms here in Arizona, the first two are echinopsis, which has once-only-annually but spectacular fleeting blooms, averaging 8-10cm wide, typically starting at night to attract moth-type pollinators, and lasting only until late morning the next day

Flowering tree. Fuji x10

Took my 8 mile cycling ride to the 40 acre pond today and saw this gorgeous flowering tree standing on the edge of the pond.:big grin:

This tree was standing on its own in a rather unpicturesque still barren forest; backing up maybe the contrast between the tree and forest would have been interesting but in doing so the thousands of little flowers on this one sole tree seemed to lose their significance.
