We are now continuing our descent of the Pic de Finiels having passed through the hamlet of Finiels, to enter an area of large granite boulders, known as chaos in French.

My iPad identifies it as Couroupita Guianensis, or a 'Cannonball Tree'. Supposed to be in the Brazil Nut family.
Guaranteed not carnivorous, although it sure looks like it could be.

No, not carnivorous. Nonetheless, I think it would be a brave bug to go inside that flower.
