Nature Show "Flowers"

Excellent shots, full of vibrance and very sharp :) What sort of f stops are you using ?

Dear christilou,

Sorry for the late reply,
I have been away for a short holiday in Hangzhou.

Basically some of the pic are stack shots which I have mentioned sometime ago, If not I usually shoot a few shot at a time, ranging
from F4 to 16 or even 22, and pick out what I wanted, I usually secure the subject will light weight plastic clamps
as there is always movement no matter how still the air, Flower usually suspended at the tip of the stalk and its weight
exactly balance with the stalk strength so even slightest of force will move the flower, unless in control environment.
all the shots is shot on tripod for stability.

Hope I answer to your question.

Your little green corner makes me happy! I'm a long way from flowers up in the northwest corner of Connecticut...but I know they're under the snow and ice somewhere!

I appreciate your including your post processing notes - the flowers look great with that film simulation!

I'm glad to make you happy!
we're approaching to an awesome spring season after all these rainy days (pretty sure we've had more than 1000mm (or so) rain recorded this winter)
and, yep, kodak portra 400 NC & fuji 400h are my preferred films emulation.
