Acacia pulchella [Prickly Moses] by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

The acacia pulchella, commonly known as prickly moses, is a shrub in the family Fabaceae. It is endemic to Western Australia being one of the most common shrubs of the bushland around Perth and in the Darling Range [where it was seen and photographed in the Mundy Regional Park]

This bush was was seen while we were out on a training walk in preparation for Anne’s attempt at the Oxfam 50 km walk.

Allium scorodoprasum - Hampton Court Garden Festival - UK2016-124 by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

The sand leek (Allium scorodoprasum), also known as rocambole and Korean pickled-peel garlic, is a Eurasian species of wild onion with a native range extending across much of Europe, Middle East, and Korea.

We did the very British thing on our visit to the United Kingdom in July 2016, we went to a flower show. Okay it was not the Chelsea Flower Show but the next best thing, the Hampton Court Flower Show.

Bunga Krisan [Chrysanthemum] - Kemenuh Butterfly Park, Bali, Indonesia by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

The sign indicated this plant is a Bunga Krisan or a Chrysanthemum as we may know it. I am not sure however that this is correct.

We spent a fair bit of time exploring the Kemenuh Butterfly Park in Bali, Indonesia. I can highly recommend it if you are in Bali and in the Ubud area.
