Nature Show "Flowers"

In Flanders fields ...
my late parents got married at 11.11am on the 11th of November.
I was named "Irene" for peace - it meant a lot to them, having fled wartime Germany

There is a lovely large garden called Chart Farm where they grow roses. It is open to the public
all year round and during flowering season, you can use their buckets and secateurs and walk
through the rows and select your own stems to buy. They have a huge variety, with name markers
in the ground in front of each row. Some have a heavenly scent and others are just beautiful with
no smell at all. When the sprinklers are on and leave waterdrops, they are absolutely gorgeous!

We went walking through the flower beds last week and came back with a rose bush to plant in
the garden, still busy selecting a good place for it. Our soil, strong wind and unforgiving sun are
unfortunately not the ideal combination for successful rose growing in our specific area, but 🤞
