The first snowdrops have bloomed a few days ago. I saw them growing by the hundreds the week before and I wasn't sure how long they will keep me waiting.

Some of them are just coming out but most of them are still just a sea of green stems popping out of the dirt.

The early ones are quite the stunners, coming out in small groups.

It's pictures and opportunities like this where I appreciate my Tamy lens so much with its close up ability, I find a dedicated 1:1 macro overkill in trying to capture the entie flower and not just a small portion.

3 little ones coming out at about the same time, I need to find a morning or afternoon to spend with the snowdrops because they tent to not last very long and we've been having some freezing nights lately.
