Roundup is your friend, Irene.
USE GLOVES.
Spray Roundup on gloves.
Wipe onto offending plant's leaves.
Watch invader die over next 4-7 days.
If it doesn't, repeat treatment.
WASH HANDS WITH GLOVES ON. REMOVE GLOVES, WAS BARE HANDS AGAIN.
I usually shower after using Roundup. It's fairly toxic, and absorbed through skin, lungs, eyes, you name it!
