Aha! Thanks Luke....and for that useless factoid, too! Maybe he'll magically appear and offer you a Hotels dot com deal or whatever that company is he works for....
Saddlebred's are primarily show horses and are known for the very animated gait. Here's one of Shatner's horses with some exceptional "action".... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEOTI5B9w7k
They certainly remind me of Tennessee Walkers. I had a horse once that I loved who was double gaited - he didn't lift his feel this way or anything, but he was the smoothest ride in Ohio. While everyone else who was trotting either had to post or bounce (I was riding Western out there), we just moved along like magic.
Thanks for the video Luke. They kind of remind me of Lipizzaners on speed. Beautiful horses!
On Dartmoor today, mainly to photograph wild plants. This pony came down to drink with her foal. A quick change from my old manual focus 105mm Nikon macro lens to the good old 14-45mm Panasonic zoom. She seemed a little nervous of me, and didn't stay long before returning the way she had come.
Horse gone wild. This one ran constantly towards me and then stopped with wild eyes. Perhaps it was the camera? Or just me?
Shot with Fuji X-T1 and 16mm 1.4
