Vienna, circa 2015

We have a summer long equestrian event here in Traverse City. I've been meaning to stop the last several years...this year I finally did. I have to say it far exceeded my expectations in every aspect. I only stayed for about an hour and a half today and half of that was just getting my bearings and reviewing the events schedule as to where the different event rings were. Over the next few weeks I hope to make a few more return visits to better document both the events and the venue. There are restaurants on site and practically a whole 'village', with merchandise vendors and the like. I heard more international dialects here today than I've heard walking through JFK. This truly has become an international draw.

Good Morning,

I had hoped to get photos of one of my nieces that is a nationally-ranked showjumper at an event in Halifax (MA). As happens in New England, the weather can mess-up the best made plans; here are a few photos from the rained-out venue and my niece with one of the +500,000.00 USD horses that she rides.

Regards,

Edd

Will,

I am so jealous of those shots...my wife and I waited for two days for the rain to stop only to find the events cancelled for my niece and everyone else; maybe next show in New York. It looks like the longest F.L. you used was about 300ish; I had brought my 300 f2.8, 70-200mm f2.8, and 24-70mm f2.8 which looks like that would have worked. Again, great shots for just showing up!

Regards,

Edd
