The wasp was after my coffee, and I didn't want to get really close, so I had to do a heavy crop on the image, although it could have been less drastic than what I did here.
Spent some time trying to photograph dragonflies in flight with my X-T1 & 50-230 lens. Wasn't going to happen with AF-C, so I switched back to M, zone focused, tried to catch them as they came to a very brief stop and hovered, and managed a couple of keepers.

A butterfly enjoying the late sun and flowers - Le Serre Des Fourches - Chemin de Stevenson-2018-D4-22 by Andrew Priest, on Flickr
Wrong lens for sure so this was the best I could get of this butterfly which was quite happy amongst the flowers on the side of the Chemin de Stevenson as we passed through the Le Serre Des Fourches on our way to our destination for the evening, Le Cheylard l’Evèque.
As it turned out this was to be my last photo for the day. Time was beating us and as it was, we were the last to arrive, last to dinner at the Au refuge du Moure that day.
Day 4 of 12 - Langogne - Le Cheylard l’Evèque: Walking the Chemin de Stevenson (GR 70 Robert Louis Stevenson Trail) in the south of France.

Common Mormon Butterfly – Kemenuh Butterfly Park, Bali, Indonesia by Andrew Priest, on Flickr
This is as I understand it a female common mormon, Papilio polytes butterfly.
We spent a fair bit of time exploring the Kemenuh Butterfly Park in Bali, Indonesia. I can highly recommend it if you are in Bali and in the Ubud area.
