An amazing creature. The antennae are unlike any that I've seen. Well seen and very well captured.Other than ‘short horned grasshopper’, I can’t get an ID on this guy. He’s quite small, though. The coloring came as a surprise and is not obvious to the naked eye (at least mine).

Lovely shot Rashid.
Many thanks, Charles.Lovely shot Rashid.
Nice shot Charles! Checking out iNaturalist and a few other sites online, I think I've found a ID for you. It looks to be a worn Figure of Eighty (Tethea ocularis). Poplar is the caterpillar food plant of this moth.I cannot identify him, but he joined us for dinner one evening. In France.View attachment 345667

If you're a bit of an old hermit, as I am, the forum is like having pen friends all over the world. Many of my very long time friends are now dead, or live far away. My health problems do not make for an active life! So I spend a lot of time here, enjoying both the photographs and the social interaction.Thank you John! Glad to be here. I'm really enjoying everyone's posts.
Pretty battle scarred, Rashid. Near the end of its short breeding life, I guess. Beautiful markings.Common buckeye ((Junonia coenia) with tattered wings on lantana plant. July, 2019.
