It is hard to imagine, the Loire is a mighty French river, in fact, its longest river when you see it at Coubon. That said it is a pretty river and adds to the beauty of Coubon for sure.
Day 1 of 12 - Le Puy-en-Velay to Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille: Walking the Chemin de Stevenson (GR 70 Robert Louis Stevenson Trail) in the south of France.
This wayfarer's or wayside cross marked our descent to Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille. Whilst I initially thought that these crosses where of religious significance this may not always be the case. That said I did notice that we saw a lot less of them in the protestant part of our walk so the religious aspect may be the dominant reason in this catholic part of France.
I paused for a moment as we neared le Chalet de Mont Lozere to take in the view to the horizon. One of the prettier parts of the Chemin de Stevenson in my view.
Day 8 of 12 – Le Bleymard to Le Pont de Montvert: Walking the Chemin de Stevenson (GR 70 Robert Louis Stevenson Trail) in the south of France.
Truth be told, shooting the thing is a bit of a pain (the viewfinder is useless, the screen small and dim, and it's sluggish to say the least), but I agree that the results can be surprisingly pleasing.
It's back in storage for the time being, though - battery ran out, and I ran out of batteries ... The last issue is easy to remedy, I agree, but the G1X III is the much better small companion camera ...
