Another view from Mt Frankland shows the creeping effect of human settlement in the area. Today further clearing is limited with the establishment of the Mt Frankland National Park.

I haven't been to my favourite spot in 2 years, after changing my job and house to the north side of the town I haven't visited the south side at all. I've been telling myself I will go one early morning for 2 months now, did the same thing this morning ... Well, I didn't wake up in the morning so rather then keep failing I decided to go in the evening and catch some sunset light. Not much luck so far, no deer, no foxes, rabbits were to fast to catch, large birds of prey flew away from me very far, small birds have not helped me either. Still one hour and a half mode to go ... Maybe I should start singing Daft Punk: Lucky.

Ocotillo do not necessarily bloom every year and they can bloom without leaves on the stalks. This year being a very good winter for precipitation in Arizona I got flowers and leaves on this specimen. Bonita Creek drainage in the background, Graham County, Arizona.

Spring long has arrived, rapeseed starts to blossom everywhere, turning field from green to yellow sometimes within a day. During a morning walk, a small farm is surrounded by cyan, green and yellow.
