The old Spanish lighthouse in Dakhla, Western Sahara, from the 1920's I think, when the Western Sahara was still the Spanish colony of Rio de Oro (despite there being zero gold and zero freshwater in this UK-sized territory).
In the top photo you can see the expansion of the city of Dakhla, which had still been undeveloped desert on my previous visit in 2014 (photos from 2019).

Two from this morning. The top one is the Petoskey Breakwall light in Little Traverse Bay, frozen for the for-seeable future. The second, a little farther west and out into Lake Michigan is the Charlevoix Breakwall Light. The rolling waves of slush in the background may just freeze solid tonight with temps forecast to be below zero and a calmer wind.
