Abandon Pump – Jarrahdale - #JWR #016
by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

This is an old pump in an abandon pumping station at Jarrahdale. It was hard to photograph as the building is boarded up with limited light and points to poke the lens through.

I cannot find any more information on it. The pumping station is at the eastern end of The Wattle Trail.

Massey Ferguson 9560 Combine Harvester by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

A Massey Ferguson 9560 combine harvester parked up outside a machinery dealer in Brookton, Western Australia. Presumable for sale.

The marketplace has changed from my days in the business in the ‘80s. Massey Ferguson wasn’t a known brand in the wheatbelt then.

6 Furrow Mouldboard Plough #2 by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

Manufactured by the State Implement Works, Fremantle in 1930. It was used to prepare paddocks prior to seeding.

The State Implement and Engineering Works was an initiative of the Department of Agriculture in 1912-1913 to manufacture agricultural machinery. The State Implement and Engineering Works commenced operating on 1 July 1913 following amalgamation with the Fremantle Workshops (administered by Public Works Department).
The Works largely manufactured agricultural implements until about 1930 when it changed to general engineering works.

Thank you to the Stedman Family for donating it and for the Shire of Brookton for putting the display together.
