Wonderful work, Ovi!After getting out of work and heading home down the usual dark alleyway I come across a tiny shadow that I though it might be a tortoise (they are not native here) but instead I found this little fellow:

I decided exhaustion and rain be damned and put the phone camera's flashlight on to illuminate this little new friend.

I very rarely find and see frogs in my area (not sure why) and I always get excited when I do. I was starting to scare him off and I backed off after a few shots and started looking around for more.

And holy moly there were more ... other things. It's been raining most of the day and the little creatures came out, slugs and frogs, snails and slimes, etc. It's one very active evening out there.

Even the worms were crawling everywhere. Though they get ultra sensitive to light if I get the flash to close, they recoils extremely fast like in this picture and return to the hole they came out from.

Getting close was quite the challenge, my hands are not particularly stable at this time of the day. I can't wait to get the Godox V1 flash on Monday, though I don't have the budget for any add-on light modifiers (I would love for the dome version) this month.

The little snail was very attached to whatever that little string above them was, making for a very interesting image hanging like Indiana Jones off a rope in a tomb. (Tatiana ta ta na)

Or Mission Impossible itself, dangling by a thread and doing a balancing act with the eyeballs

Looks stranger still from above. Makes me wonder if I should try and get out of the house tomorrow morning early and see what macro images I can try to get.

Two slugs feasting on some poor kid's sandwiche bread, I tried to shoot at f 5.6 for mor DoF so the bottom slug doesn't get lost completely in the background blur at f 2.8

Sorry I ruined their romantic dinner for two. It was so dark that I had to crawl with the phone to find subjects in the dark. Wether I am pointing the camera to the ground or to the sky (astrophotography) I still manage to look creepy and weird to other people.
View attachment 412626There were a looot of worms and not the "Carrying a Bazooka" kind, though that would have been quite fun (Worms World Party).

This is as close as I can get. I'm having so much fun doing macro.

It's really fun playing with water droplets.

I am thinking about having this one printed

Strange tiny roots growing up everywhere.

Very very small, f 16 not giving enough DoF for it.

Very spongy fungi.

I noticed these little red spots and realized they are small tunnels, I am not sure what made them or why they are there.
I hear tell that HSS actually attempts to fire the flash multiple times very quickly (per shot). Once I heard that, I went back to either OG "manual" or TTL and everything works fine!I have tried the HSS but it didn't go well, out of a short burst I got 1 to 3 exposed, and the rest pitch black, need to check how to deal with that.
