I think I can hear the drone of a sitar (think Ravi) in the woodlands; seriously Will, nice shot and I will take a walk in a few minutes as I think I have some here in CT.View attachment 409564
I've never seen this type of mushroom before. This image is as shot, no enhanced color or contrast. Anyone have a guess as to what these are. They seem to scream "Don't Eat"!
There seems to be a white powdery substance on the wood adjacent to the mushrooms, and they appear to have subtle white spots on the stems, but I've come up empty on any search online for anything close to these.

Yeah, those could be it, the keyword being 'could', which is why I only eat mushrooms from the produce aisle. Well, at least since the 60s.Do these look close?

A mushroom/fungi expert once told me that he would only eat mushrooms purchased from the supermarket!Yeah, those could be it, the keyword being 'could', which is why I only eat mushrooms from the produce aisle. Well, at least since the 60s.
May I inquire about your processing method from your K1? Are the SooC or edited RAW and if edited what options you use the most?
I do grudingly use a preset for most images that are meant to be view on a screen. The base preset is one from Northlandscapes that I modified more to my liking. It really borders on overprocessed (IMO) unless I have the light and exposure just right in camera already. But I still use it for ease of use and for web veiwing.May I inquire about your processing method from your K1? Are the SooC or edited RAW and if edited what options you use the most?
