This is all that's left of St.Brynach's church, in the village of Cwm-yr-Eglwys (Valley of the Church) on the North Pembrokeshire coast, in Wales.
The rest of the building, along with several cottages, was washed away in a great storm in 1859.

Not particularly old old, but reasonable old.
This is one of the three Bonded Warehouses built in the early 1900's , overlooking the River Avon, which was at the time navigable up to this point.
They were built mostly to meet the demands of the booming tobacco industry and wine imports.
They are all now Grade II listed buildings, with one of them now housing various organisations working in sustainable development.
Apparently they were the first buildings in Britain to be constructed from reinforced concrete, but I love the evening light on the brickwork.

It must be blooming' dark and gloomy inside there.
And why is the roof so tall?
I can only imagine the roof space was used for storage of hay or grain etc?

House, ‘Danum House’ 6 Fothergill Street, Fremantle by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

This is part of a series of photos I planned to take of my neighboured, just documenting it as it is, life so speak as Tim Winton described it in his book, Cloudstreet. I started this project in 2016, then it lapsed until 2020 and here I am restarting it in 2023.

No. 6 Fothergill Street is a City of Fremantle-listed heritage property. The house was built in 1909/10 when the street was known as John Street and it was owned and occupied by Nicholas Tunbridge Sheet.

It was sold to the current owners in February 2021 for $1,785,000.
