SHOW Paths, Tracks and Roads

The last time I was at this spot a month ago it was aglow in Autumn colors.

EDIT: Look at post 557, which was taken on the other end of the bridge below looking toward where I was standing today.

At the Black Swamp, between Hay and Deniliquin. Would you believe that I nearly got bogged here?

The Black Swamp. Very rarely has water in it. This was December 2011. Read the sign. Full image here: https://www.canopuscomputing.com.au.../hay-deniliquin/E-30_JAK_2011-_C026748_Ew.jpg

So Victoria is known as the ‘garden state’? Don’t tell New Jersey!

Chris, this is north of the Great Dividing Range. Inland Australia is mostly semi desert or desert. It's shaped like an upside down saucer, draining into Lake Eyre, with the exception of the Murray-Darling river basin down the eastern side of the continent, and some coastal rivers, such as the Ord and the Burdekin.

It is the driest inhabited continent in the world, and roughly 90% of its area is inside the 5" isohyet.

Besides, this is (just) in New South Wales ...
