Pray tell, where is this magical land?

It reminds me very much of Scotland in late autumn (which is the perfect season for Scotland IMO). But perhaps it's elsewhere in the UK or Ireland? I'm curious too. Great moody shot!

It's the Pen-Y-Pass sometimes called the Llanberis Pass in Snowdonia, North Wales. It's more mundane name is the A4086 and it connects Pen-Y-Gwryd to Llanberis. The Pen-Y-Gwryd Hotel is famous for being the place where Edmond Hillary and his team stayed and trained for their ascent of Everest in 1953.
