I wouldn't have guessed ... this used to be something of an unofficial footpath, but seems to have become part of a regional hiking route, so they decided to do it up properly. That said, there are a couple of water runs they tried to ignore; I wouldn't wonder if part of this turned into a quagmire before long. That said, it was before, so, nothing lost - but maybe little gained on the whole as well ...
