In the US we call them “Animal Crackers” Irene. They were first made here by Stauffer’s in 1871 and have been a “thing” ever since. Most common is Barnum & Baily’s circus crackers who sells 40 million boxes a year and ships to 17 countries. They aren’t near as fancy as yours are though!

Finally finished putting together my low-fi office system today, after replacing a bad capacitor in the reel to reel. Still only records on one channel which bothers me, but I’ll save that for another day.
