Genuine question - would the photo look like something's a bit off, if I hadn't said anything and if this wasn't a 'reflections' thread?

Hah you're right. I guess if I looked at the photo the right way up, they're fish. But when I flip the photo upside down, they could some major lens dust (or at least that's how the brain processes it).The fishes in the sky would have raised a red flag.
