the Robertsons are a husband-and-wife team who love the Ford GT40 and its history at Le Mans. When Ford introduced the GT40-inspired road car (Ford GT) to celebrate its 100-year existence, the Robertsons decided they wanted to take it racing at Le Mans. The 24 Hours of Le Mans is historically regarded as one of the 3 great races in the world (with the Monaco Grand Prix and the Indy 500), and it has always been used as a technological proving ground by car manufacturers spending tens of millions of euros a year to show off their technological prowess. But the great thing is, that even (wealthy) enthusiast amateurs like the Robertsons can compete there, just for the fun and romance of competing in such a classic. So, they funded the development of a race version, and started racing it in the US, and after a lot of effort they got to race it at Le Mans. And on their wedding anniversary, they came in 3rd in class, and Mr Robertson arranged for Mrs Robertson to take the chequered flag :)

(and developed at the cheaper lab in town, hence the black spot on the scan... crud on my negs again.)

I have no idea what the car is; but I was intrigued by the bike hanging on the side. Shot wi/Pentax K110D and 18-55 kit lens.
