Old friend of mine bought 2 of the convertable GTOs like this around 1982. He used one for parts to build the other up with a scratch built 389 done to his specs by a Can-Am race engine builder and a custom 30+ coats candy apple red paint job. Fast but didn't handle as well as a modern econobox.
is it a bird or a plane or..................
Yes. Not cheap.aptera 2 series?
Well, it depends on how you see it, as a toy, agree, as a daily driver if your lifestyle can use it as one, not at all.Yes. Not cheap.
Yes, my MX-5 does me nicely. 13 years from new and the only issue is getting in and out these daysWell, it depends on how you see it, as a toy, agree, as a daily driver if your lifestyle can use it as one, not at all.
We recently sent our youngest to college, we are basically empty nesters, for 2 people that are mostly working near home, in a sunny place, it's not an expensive car, especially if you have another one for really long trips | carry stuff.
Now, we have our cars already, and do not envision new ones, but my daily driver is over 30 years old now and if I were to get a new one, it will have to be electric and a bit easier to get in / out of. I can see the aptera as a reasonable option. It's cheaper than getting a small Tesla and seems much more interesting. (*) I think I would probably look for something smaller, as it is bigger than what I expected, but I think I see the appeal. It is all hypothetical, hopefully my old Miata can serve me for a while longer.
Aptera price is supposed to start at $33k US. That's not badYes, my MX-5 does me nicely. 13 years from new and the only issue is getting in and out these days. The prices I glanced at started out reasonably high, but with extra specs it looked to be heading to above 50K USD. Not sure how old those prices were either. Still its probably cheaper than the latest three-wheeled Morgan.
In Pacific Pesos (AUD) that's about 52K, the Kia I bought for the wife cost me 22kAptera price is supposed to start at $33k US. That's not bad
