SUBMARINE!
Sir! Yes Sir! We've scrambled the seagulls. Sir!

View attachment 373421

Interesting that the Nikon picture, with a cheap and far shorter lens, seems the more pleasing of the two shots to me...
Hence in two separate posts
What do you think?
It's a far more pleasing composition, Irene. The first is a better spy photo - i.e. an expert could tell whose submarine it was, and what it might be up to!

Tian Chang He by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

Tian Chang He (IMO: 9300324) is a container ship registered and sailing under the flag of the China People's Republic. Her gross tonnage is 66,800, and her deadweight is 67,209 tonnes. Her overall length (loa) is 278.94 m, her beam is 40 m and her maximum draught is 14.02 m. Her container capacity is 4632 teu. She was built in 2005 by Koyo Dockyard, Mihara and is operated by Cosco Shipping Lines Limited.

I photographed Tian Chang He as she passed through the mouth of the Swan River heading into the Fremantle Inner Harbour on 23 March 2022. Her last port of call was Port Lang.

Whilst in Fremantle she was attended to by Gulf Agency Company (Australia) Pty Ltd.

The other interesting aspect of the Tian Chang He is she has a 2,000 W tunnel thruster. Not something I can recall featuring on other container ships I have photographed visiting Fremantle.
