I was careful not to catch my own feet in this picture, but I now think I should have shown them for context. What you're looking at is a foundation stone for a building at Stowe Gardens, which no longer exists. Somebody indulged themselves with a bulldozer.
You could take the inscription as encouragement to yield to photographic GAS, I suppose, but we made do with tea and cake in the shop.
