Show "Signs"

Hotell??? Sigh.
A lot of people here confuse words between English and Swedish (since the latter is a secondary official language in Finland). "Hotell" must be a slipup from there. Then the "Restaurant" of the sign is again in English.

It's funniest with Personnel/Personal signs at staff parking spaces. "Personal" is correct for Swedish but the English speaking crowd will think it's another grammarly mixup. Doesn't always help with the matter that the parking lot might be 50/50 in Finnish/English and then one Swedish phrase slips up there in a sign.

English is a real mongrel of a language!

I have a lovely little book of 67 pages devoted to the use and abuse of apostrophes. It's titled "****ing Apostrophes" ...

I saw these stickers on chevrons in a curve of a mountain drive yesterday - one after another they appeared, making no sense at all :)
I have attempted to google them, but (obviously) with no helpful hits

A nasty, vicious truth, Chris.

Actually, up here near Antarctica, we consider all mapping to be the wrong way up ... ;) :) .

And the Great Southern Ocean, is actually bigger than all the rest of the planet's oceans combined.

e.g.

And, more generally about mapping:
