Always funny seeing signs like this that always seem to be in places where you think one would be mad to dive in and swim in the area where the sign is placed.

But we had a couple of German tourists taken by saltwater crocodiles in far North Queensland. They went swimming between two signs about 3mx4m each stating "Saltwater Crocodiles - DO NOT SWIM HERE" in about ten languages ...

The Darwin principle at work.

Plenty of Australians that do that with the same outcome too. Usually after a sherry or two.
Quite right. No nationality has a monopoly on gross stupidity!

Even baby salties frighten me witless ...
Unlike great white sharks, they don't have the decency to stay in the water.

Adult salties have been known to run down and kill horses. They can move surprisingly fast on land for such a big, ungainly looking creature.
