St Flour de Mercoire proudly showing its connection to Robert Lois Stevenson - Chemin de Stevenson-2018-D4-7 by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

Robert Lois Stevenson apparently passed through St Flour de Mercoire in the afternoon having not left Langogne until 2:30 PM. It seems he had a rather dreadful afternoon of walking describing the weather thus:

"All the way up the long hill from Langogne it rained and hailed alternatively; the wind kept freshening steadily … plentiful hurrying clouds … careered out of the north and followed me along my way."

Robert Lois Stevenson eventually made Sagne-Rouuse at 4:00 PM where he promptly got lost. To end his day he came across Fouzillac (not to be confused with Fouzillic literally a few hundred metres down the road) where he was refused assistance and ended up camping in the dark. All up not a great day. With Mademoiselle Anne's injuries we, to some small degree mirrored Mr Stevenson experience.
