A memorial to Robert - Chemin de Stevenson-2018-D7-26
by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

Another home-made trail marker and homage to Robert Lois Stevenson. This one was on the final kilometre or two coming into Le Bleymard, our destination for the day and the end of day 7 on the trail.

Day 7 of 12 – Chasserades to Le Bleymard: Walking the Chemin de Stevenson (GR 70 Robert Louis Stevenson Trail) in the south of France.

Back to Single Track - Mt Cooke - Monadnocks National Park
by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

At last, we departed the Powerline Road and rejoined the Bibbulmun Track proper as it commenced its ascent of the southern face of Mt Cooke in the Monadnocks National Park.

We were walking the park as part of Ibu Anne’s training to complete the Oxfam Trailwalker 50km which she ticked off in early October 2018.

Station du Mont Lozére - Chemin de Stevenson-2018-D8-05
by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

The last refreshment stop before the ascent of Mont Lozére. There were a few walkers about so a popular climb and walking area in the summer it seems.

This was one of the more interesting climbs for us, as we climbed ski runs and the route was marked by montjoies, the same pillars that were there when Robert Lois Stevenson climbed Mont Lozére.
