Despite signs on this stretch of coast, people still swim and paddle here, and there have been drownings over the years. These particular signs are new (to me), but I haven't been over here in a while. This year there has already been far too many drownings in various places. People are asking for more patrols, but I think some need to exercise common sense and stay out of the water. Two people from one family drowned last week, after swimming in the sea just days after a cyclone, when the sea had big swells, rip, and holes. Very sad .....

For those unaware, the Buckeye tree is the state tree of Ohio.

It is a distinctive looking tree nut that is inedible to humans.
This sign below was found outside a church and in this instance, a "Buckeye" is the name of a confection.

They are made to look just like the Buckeye nut from the tree. They consist of a peanut butter center surrounded by chocolate, but there is a small circular section at the top with no chocolate, so you can see the peanut butter center.
