The snow stake is new this year, and this is only our second year here, so this is the max so far.
That being said, we are in the snow belt and our average is supposed to be a bit over 120 inches a year.
I’ll post again if we get above two feet on the ground 🙂.

THe first 2 weeks of 2025 have started off with much colder temperatures than normal and more snow than we received 2 of the last 3 entire winter seasons. With another Polar Vortex visit the next 3 days, Spring is feeling like a very long way away. I have been told, however, that the snow is very good for all of the new grass we planted in late Autumn.

Good Afternoon,

The first snow of 2025 hit Woodstock and the surrounding region with +6 inches overnight, and the temps will be staying just around 0* F for a few days...not fun for the kids that have to wait for buses in the morning...🙁

Regards,

Edd

Back in my day we used to hike to school through 15 inches of snow uphill. (Joking) But I still remember my years of going to school in the late 90s to mid 2000 through sub 0 C winters and snow, on foot and by bus ... before climate change took snowy winters our of most of Romania and now it's just a slog of grey much like UK in the winter.
