Shot my first Grass Hockey game. I was out for some street photography in the evening and I passed by one of the sports field in town and I thought about giving it a try, I did get there just before half game.

I don't know anything about the game or the rules, I tried to keep the eye on th ball and fallow the action from there. It's kind of hard when the ball is that small and green too, sometimes the camera did a better job then I did.

I took about 600 images in half an hour because I didn't knew anything about the sport so I I couldn't anticipate important moments. I had it set on JPEGs only because I was testing the Auto and JPEGs that evening and I was pleasantly surprised in this scenario.

But I did shoot in Manual with Auto ISO because I needed the shutter speed control to avoid motion blur. The only thing I regret is that for the first half of the images I was shooting in Multi Metering and that was blowing the gras and the white T Shirts to balance the darkness of the night from the upper half of the frame. After switching to Spot Metering (with Link to AF point) the exposure and as better balanced and I got lower ISO as a "bonus". Need to remember that in the future.

I'm not to upset about shooting JPEG. The IQ was good and didn't need a lot editing, just a bit of Highlights and Shadow adjustment. I would still shot RAW though.

The ball is on the top left corner ... I never seen so many golf players on the field playing at the same time

They had a very friendly handshake at the end.
