After a hiatus of more than one month without taking any photographs, due to work, life and lousy weather, I was finally able to get out yesterday morning. At Plaza Palmer in my hometown of Caguas, Puerto Rico, I ran into this gentleman who was busy singing up a storm. I sat down to listen along with some of his buddies. He played and sang non-stop for about an hour, and is quite the entertainer.
When I started taking photographs he asked if I was working for a newspaper or magazine. I told him the photographs were for my personal use, and that I was just trying to document the simple life in Caguas. After that, every time another one of his friends joined the group, he would introduce me as the "photographer from the New York Times".
The gentleman in the glasses sang some duets as well.
All in all, a very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours on a Saturday morning.
All photos taken with a Lumix G2 and either the 20mm or the 45mm Lumix.
Cheers,
Antonio
