I thought this might make an interesting thread. Not many of us will have cameras with >100Mp, but there's always stitching. Here's one to kick us off - 44,399 × 10,940 (485.7 MP). A stitch of a number of 47Mp images from the Nikon Z7.

Here's a low res version:

And a link to the hi-res version on Flickr (not uploaded here to avoid burning server storage, performance, and bandwidth):

Wow! The version on Flickr took its own sweet time to download. I think I'll give it a miss for the foreseeable future. - Until internet speeds get a bit quicker at least. ;)

Lovely photo though.

Edit: On second thoughts, I think that I am going to play with this a bit. - A series of panoramic stitched 80 Mp high resolution images from a tripod-mounted OM System OM-1. I wonder how that will turn out.

Would be good to see how it turns out!

Which stitching software tools do you recommend?
I have really only been using three tools recently, so cannot give a wide experience. Other than in-camera, I use OM Workshop and Affinity Photo 2. I find Affinity Photo can do most stitching, stacking and basic astro stacking stuff very nicely. That's not to say other software might do it better, but it works for me. As an aside, for focus stacking I find good results from Affinity when in-camera and OMW has failed me.
