I have quite a few of old Zeiss and Leica lenses. The Rigid Summicron balances resolution and contrast better than any vintage Leica or Zeiss lens, in my opinion.
Brain created Zeiss 5cm/1.5 in ltm for me, and they are awesome too, but they provide images that are less modern looking. The rigid Summicron somehow can match the modern lenses in overall performance.

Yup. I use my Sonnars (Brian specials) for the vintage look, but the resolution is definitely there.

I removed the color from the original image, and I cropped it. Then I added some reds and some yellows.

I got to play with an f/1 Nocti a few weeks ago. Big, heavy, blocked much of the 50mm frame at close distances, but holy cow what a nice rendering. Oh, looks like Flickr changed their layout again, now to get the URL you have to click the iPhone-like "share arrow" to pull it up.
