Not sure if I should have posted this on the insect thread..😀

So, tell us how this was taken, please?

Sure not a problem. I take these type of pics on my kitchen table, camera is a Panasonic FZ2000 bridge on a tripod with a Marumi achromat (usually the 200 +5) all manual settings and taken as JPEG's. I mounted the seed with a small piece of my granddaughters' Play Doh on an oven baking tray filled with water, sprayed it with water from a small travel spray bottle, and added the central water drop with a crafting syringe. The background refracted in the drops was a 6x4 picture of a cloudy sky. Lighting is a 300 lumens LED pocket torch strapped to a mini tripod. Final image was a simple stack by manually adjusting the focus (a bit crude I know, but the FZ2000 has manual focus and zoom rings), I then ran the resulting JPEGs through Combine ZP (which can do a decent job but does seem to struggle with strong highlights and reflections). Lastly I used ART1.22 on the final resulting JPEG image to tweak the levels slightly and add a vignette. I hate spending time post processing, but luckily I quite like the slightly 'ethereal' and imperfect results of this quick and simple low cost approach. Its mainly just trial and error to see what works for your own personal taste.
I hope this was helpful.
(Plans for 2025 are to try these with my m4/3 gear, but I do enjoy using bridge cameras)
