I love it! This is really a fine image, IMO.
A square crop can sometimes feel "static" but with the both the road and the light drawing your eye to the opening in the tree cover I think it really works here. And the area in the upper right of the original where the foliage opens up saps some of the drama caused by the constricting feeling of the trees. Just my two cents.
